Salary range: $94,895 - $104,849 per annum plus 12.5% Superannuation
We are seeking a motivated and passionate professional to join Council’s Natural Areas and Biodiversity (NAB) team. You will thrive in a municipality recognised for its significant biodiversity values and engaged community, with the opportunity to shape conservation outcomes at a municipal scale.
Your work will contribute to the protection and enhancement of Kingborough’s bushland reserves, waterways and coastal landscapes. With a strong focus on invasive fauna and native wildlife, you will develop and implement NAB projects, including delivery of Council’s Cat Management Program. You will use monitoring, data and adaptive management to ensure projects address known and emerging risks.
Working across Council and alongside the community, landowners and stakeholders, you will provide technical advice and build strong partnerships to deliver practical conservation outcomes. You will apply strategic thinking to ensure projects align with Council’s strategic direction, legislative responsibilities and best practice environmental management.
You will hold qualifications and relevant experience in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science or other related field, along with strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
