About this position:
Kingborough Council has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned accounting or finance professional to join its Business Services Team. The role will play a crucial part in managing operational effectiveness and development of the finance department.
The successful applicant will have experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning & reporting, and organisational risk management. The incumbent will provide high-level technical advice on various finance related matters and projects.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field is required such as Accounting, Commerce or Business and membership of, or progress towards, a recognised professional accounting body, with CPA status or equivalent. The ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders is also essential.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification,
- Substantial experience in the accounting or finance sector,
- Strong organisational and time management skills,
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

The role is permanent full-time with a salary in the range of $103,964 - $117,839 per annum, depending on skills and experience plus 12.5% employer superannuation contribution.
