About this position:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Manager Finance to join the management team at Kingborough Council.
This key management position is responsible for the efficient operation and strategic development of the finance unit. You will be responsible for the Policy development, Rate revenue management, Budget, forecasting and reporting, change management, business improvement and systems accounting as well as departmental and council management
Reporting to the Director People and Finance the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing and delivering annual goals and objectives that align with the organisational goals.
A key focus for the role is to provide progressive leadership and elevating the maturity of the finance unit in its partnering role with the organisation.
About the successful candidate:
A tertiary qualified professional with CPA or CA credentials who approaches financial leadership with a CFO mindset- demonstrating expertise in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis together with personal and interpersonal skills to manage and lead the finance department and wider organisation.
Further details:
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated including the private use of a motor vehicle, 12.5% superannuation and a rostered day off each month. The role is being offered on an ongoing full-time basis.
