Kingborough Council is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join their Development Compliance Unit. The position works within a professional team responsible for the effective delivery of the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993 (LUPAA) and Building Act 2016 permit authority compliance functions in accordance with Council protocols and occupational licensing requirements.
The position is responsible for effective and efficient administrative and technical support across the Department. This includes but is not limited to: processing section 337 certificates and managing post-approval planning documentation, while maintaining accurate records across building, plumbing and planning systems.
The role includes conducting routine strata compliance inspections, assisting with customer enquiries, and supporting task prioritisation within the team. You'll also collaborate with administrative and technical staff, ensuring all documentation is accurately recorded and aligned with council requirements and systems.
To be successful, you will be well-organised and have experience in providing high-level customer service. You will also require the ability to attain a Certificate IV in Government Investigations within the first 12 months.
