About this position:

We are seeking a well organised and enthusiastic administration professional to join Council’s statutory planning team.  If you thrive in a busy team environment, and can work on multiple tasks and to tight deadlines then this is a great role for you. 

The role includes providing an effective and efficient administrative system for the processing and advertising of planning applications, scheme amendments and other related matters. You will be responsible for the preparation of correspondence, database and electronic file maintenance, researching property certificates, maintaining information relevant to the Department on Council’s website and intranet, and response to customer enquiries. You will require strong organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail, as well as high-level computer skills in using Microsoft Office software, records management systems and Geographic Information Systems

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience in providing technical and/or administrative support
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and as a supportive member of a small team
  • Excellent written skills and the ability to prepare routine correspondence
  • Competent computer skills using MS Office software, records management systems and Geographic Information Systems, or the ability to attain these skills in a short period of time

Further details:

The role is full time with a salary in the range of $70, 318 - $75,164 per annum, depending on relevant skills and experience plus 12.5% employer superannuation contribution.
